Welcome to Giesinger Elementary

Eagles SOAR to Excellence In All We Do!

Melissa Hammond

Giesinger Elementary opened in the fall of 1990.  The school was named for Imogene Giesinger who was an outstanding administrator, teacher, and educator in our district.  Since the schools beginning, we have fostered high academic standards along with a nurturing environment that encourages all students "to soar to excellence."  Our vision is to provide a positive, caring, and challenging environment of excellence in which each child is successful and achieves maximum potential.

It is my honor and privilege to be the principal of this 2014 National Blue Ribbon school.  This is my nineteenth  year in education and I am thrilled to share my love and passion of exploration and discovery in learning with your children.

Our teachers have conference periods posted on their webpages.  Parents are encouraged to schedule conferences with their child's teacher.  We encourage parent involvement and have an active PTO that supports our staff, students and school programs.  Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions.  I am looking forward to a successful year with our Giesinger Eagles!
