Julie Emmons


My name is Julie Emmons and I am so excited to be the counselor here at Giesinger Elementary. This is my fifth year as a school counselor and my tenth year in education. During the school day, I can be found doing Guidance Lessons in classrooms, working individually or in a group setting with kids, and assiting teachers and staff members. Please know that I am always here to support our Giesinger kids, their families, and the wonderful staff here at Giesinger. Please stop in and say hello when  you are at school.

What Does A School Counselor Do?                                  
-Works with individuals and groups                              
-Encourages better student relationships                        
-Supports students' academic progress                   
-Promotes positive attitudes and choices                        
-Maintains confidences                                          
-Assists teachers and parents in helping choices                
-Lends support to school, career, and personal plans    
-Assists people in making use of community resources
