I am Hayley Rasco, and I am very excited that I am one of your 3rd grade teachers this year.  This is my eighteenth year to teach, and I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade.  I have even taught Kindergarten through 4th grade in the Kaufman Elementary Computer Lab.
I have been married to my husband Bryan for 20 years, and we have been blessed with two beautiful daughters.  Emma Leigh is a sixth grader at Cryar and Lily is a second grader at Giesinger.  They are absolute treasures!  Bryan is a P.E. teacher at San Jacinto Elementary, and he is the Music Minister at our church.
As a teacher, I believe that all children can learn and that all children will either live up to or down to the expectations of the adults in their lives.  For this reason, I have high expectations for my students.  I believe that 3rd graders can be responsible for themselves, their assignments, and their belongings.  We will work to build this responsibility all year long.
Third grade is a year of change, and I am excited to see how each of my students will grow and change this year.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time should you have questions, comments, or concerns.  The best way to do so is through my school e-mail which can be found on my homepage.  I use this website and e-mail as a frequent form of communication with you.
I am looking forward to a great year!
